ge shout out goes to the Boston Pizza on Kenaston here in Winnipeg along with all our friends who joined us for the season premiere of The Amazing Race Canada season #3! Dozens of friends joined us to watch the first episode of season three of TARC and help raise funds for Parkinson’s.
We had door prizes of Lindt Chocolate, football and hockey jerseys, Starbucks coffee and ice cream. We raised $1000 for Parkinson’s while cheering on our local team Brian & Cynthia. The room was full of groans and sympathetic cries each time Cynthia fell while trying to walk a log in a pool. Her success was met with a rousing cheer and many a lifted glass!
Many people chose to join Tim’s Team to walk and/or support Tim Sr’s effort to raise funds and awareness of Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease in this year Parkinson’s SuperWalk. Thank you to everyone who joined the team in an effort to help U-Turn Parkinson’s!
